We are dedicated to teaching baseball in a way that maximizes a player’s potential, while stressing the importance of being a part of a team. We develop baseball knowledge, physical skills and the discipline needed to succeed in high school, college, professional baseball and most importantly in life. We are excited to invite new players and families to give us a try!
Common Questions:
What age group is my child in? (may be different than recreation league age groups)
You can use the age calculator at https://www.usssa.com/BASEBALL/AGECALCULATOR
Keep in mind, this calculator shows the child's current age group and they will be trying out for next season's age group.
Do you play year-round?
Yes, we practice all year but typically take a holiday break in December. Some age groups may slow down during certain times of the year such as summer, and may not scrimmage or play tournaments but will continue to practice. In addition, some players will take time off to play other sports, that is up to each individual family.
How much does it cost and what is included?
Our monthly fee is $175 (9U-10U), $199 (11U-14U) and $225 (15U & up) which includes two practices a week (one field practice and one batting practice at 5 Tool Hitting Center in Carlsbad) and scrimmages (small umpire fee typically applies to scrimmages, under $5/player). Tournament fees are separate. Each coach will evaluate their team's readiness to participate in scrimmages and tournaments. Our older teams are more established and typically play 2-3 scrimmages/month and 1-2 tournaments/month. Newer formed teams will focus on development and enter scrimmages and tournaments at the coach's discretion.
Where do you practice and travel?
Practices are typically held in Carlsbad and San Marcos. Scrimmages are held within San Diego County. Most tournaments attended are in Southern California (San Diego, Orange County and Riverside). Annually some teams may go to out-of-state tournaments, such as Arizona Spring Training tournaments.
